non-dimensional (or nondimensional) indicator
Explanation:
In a management context, Kenngröße is often an indicator or key indicator, which made me think of this translation. It doesn't come up all that often, but then neither does your German source term.....

I found it being used in this type of context on the following site (as well as a whole host of scientific sites).

"Value for Money Criterion [middle of Intangible Domain]
The indicators of financial and intangible value must now be combined to arrive at the Inclusive Value of the system being measured with respect to the context. Initially these are not commensurate: financial value is measured on a monetary scale (£) while intangible value is non-dimensional. Consequently financial value has to be normalised into an equivalent non-dimensional indicator (f, or c), and then combined in a simple 2-dimensional Value for Money Criterion [centre of Intangible Domain]. This gives the Inclusive Value W(f,v) for IVM applications with cash flow, or W(c,v) for cost-effectiveness or cost-benefit studies where only costs have to be considered. "

Thanks Alison - the text is about KM and problem-solving, so this link to intangible assets is great!
