functions and operatives Explanation: To me, "Operativen" (accusative case, the nominative singular would be Operativer) looks like a biz-speak import of "operatives" (en), as in "CIA operative" ;-). To use this word in German at all is highly unusual, so I don't think there is anything like a standard translation. If pressed I'd settle for "operatives". "Funktionen" also looks like it refers to people; the metaphor doesn't carry too well into English IMO. I hope someone comes up with something better... |
