German term or phrase: eine entsprechende Einstellung ist erfolgt
Die Stelle wird neu besetzt, eine entsprechende Einstellung ist erfolgt.

An employee was fired and must be replaced. Does this sentence mean that somebody has ALREADY been hired/recruited (Einstellung) to fill the position, OR that production has been STOPPED until the position can be filled? (Einstellung!!!!)

eine entsprechende Einstellung

Explanation:
This should be refered to the context, but it sounds like the employe is already replaced

add a translator's note!

Explanation:
You have asked a perfectly justified question.

The author could have meant 'wurde', not 'wird'. IMHO this is clearly a guessing game and therefore I would use the 'position has been filled' option and add a translator's note in brackets.

some re-allocation in job functions

Explanation:
replacing of the person who left is fine.
You cannot rule out the possibility of 're-allocation in functions' after the new person takes over. I read for "entsprechende Einstellung" as some adjustments made in the existing job-allocation after the new person has take over.
If I am wrong I may stand corrected.
