How to translate the name of this Act into English? The problem is that the name of the Act does not say what it is about. A number of possibilities are on the web but they are long and the name in German is at least relatively brief. "Contributions Stability Act" is a possibility but it doesn't sound natural. What do others think? Comments welcome. Yorick

The Act on the Stabilizing of Contributions to Statutory Health Insurers (BSSichG - Beitragssicherungsgesetz) came into effect on January 01, 2003. Pharmaceutical wholesalers will be affected by this law, inasmuch as they are supposed to make a compulsory contribution in the amount of Euro 600 million.

This explanation says what accurately it is-many thanks (have a vague feeling that there could be a snappier translation but cant come up with one myself-maybe all shorter versions would lose some of the meaning though.)
