Background info - not for points Explanation: Abrufrente Bei einer privaten Rentenversicherung kann in der Regel jederzeit vor dem ursprünglich vertraglich vereinbarten Rentenbeginn die Zahlung einer früher einsetzenden lebenslangen Rente verlangt werden. pension drawdown Explanation: this is the UK phrase for early receipt of pension benefits. It is not an exact equivalent of 'Abrufrente', because it involves flexible withdrawals from the pension fund, not the contractually fixed early payment of a reduced pension from it. (although the two can obviously be linked, I think we are talking pensions, not anuities, here, because the concept of 'Abruf' doesn't seem to make much sense for an annuity: the rate for an annuity is fixed when you buy it. A 'future annuity' with a fixed rate which you can therefore choose to have paid early is surely a pension?)
