German term or phrase: weiter denken
Good morning Dear Colleagues!

Unfortunately, I have little time to discuss this term in all its connotations, but would like your input all the same. As a header, all I can come up with is:
>Projected thought on Europe
>Carrying the European idea further
>Thoughts beyond Europe
>Europe of the future
>Thinking Europe further
>Continued thought on Europe
none of which really gives me the 'YES!' feeling. Your ideas and suggestions are most heartily welcome - the sooner, the better!

Europe weiter denken
Our Programme und geografische Aktivitäten und Reichweite sind nicht auf die EU als institutionalisiertes Europa begrenzt. Neben den politikfeldspezifischen Bildungsangeboten spielen Projekte, die sich auf politikfeldübergreifende Entwicklungstendenzen und –perspektiven auf European Ebene konzentrieren eine zentrale Rolle (u.a. Entwicklung Europas, Rechtspopulismus/-extremismus, Sicherheit, European Sozialmodell etc.)

WOW! 10 suggestions and I have to choose only one. Sorry it took me so long. I chose this one because it is the suggestion that best implies the breadth of the current EU as well as the possibilities of future development, without be limited to it (make sense?). I hope any toes I've stepped on heal quickly. Thank you all!

Asker: Good morning Armorel! I also like the question approach, but have eliminated my own ideas in this direction, as I must walk the fine line between youth-oriented and professorial English. The Foundation does brilliant work! than you for your suggestion.

Taking Europe to the next level

Explanation:
People are always talking about taking something to the next level, i.e., "taking KudoZ to the next level" and "taking strawberry cultivation to the next level" and so on. It's a catch-all upbeat phrase.

Btw, shouldn't it be "weiterdenken" (as one word) in German?

Langenscheidt: weiterdenken Verb/intransitiv think (oder look) ahead; einen Schritt weiterdenken = take it one step further

--------------------------------------------------

Another idea:

"More Europe is better for all"

The translation doesn't necessarily need to contain the words "thinking" or "thought(s)". ;-)

Hi Ramey! I think "weiterdenken" (one word) means to think or look ahead (or pursue something), whereas "weiter denken" (two words) means to think some more about something, to give more thought to something, and so on.

At least I think so!

Think Europe! ;-0

-> Ah, I'd forgotten that one. Andrew, as you can see, I've had a long and turbulent love affair with the gerund (p.s. don't tell my wife).

agree  BrigitteHilgner: I like "think Europe", http://www.thinkeurope.net/, I don't like the next level (according to my experience with the EU, this means more bureaucracy).
47 mins
-> Thanks for the link, Brigitte. Great logo. Fear of the ominous next level? I think a lot of Eurosceptics would agree, but maybe we need to "think outside the box" when it comes to the EU.

neutral  Michael Martin, MA: Goes in the right direction but is an overworked phrase that can be applied to all sorts of contexts. Doesn’t address the essential ingredient here - that the idea of Europe is being refined
2 hrs
-> I think it covers all the bases, Michael (overworked or not), including the notion of refining/promoting etc. the European idea(l).

agree  Eleanore Strauss: This is the only offer that actually encapsulates the inherent thought. And it's spot on, especially given the target group. "Beyond, etc." is misleading and actually incorrect. Many phrases are'overworked', because they are used every day.
