i know that we have had Finanzkontrolle in Kudoz before but this is possibly different. It refers to the activity I think rather than a body. A talk is to be given on the following subject (part of a schedule) in the Rechnungshof of Thuringia on:

Suggestions welcome for an English equivalent to this.
Just "auditing" sound weak to me-"auditing procedures"?

I am under the impression that you are British. I am unfamiliar with careers in language training in general, and also as far as the local market is concerned. Grading comment
Great but difficult choice from a lot of people. I finally decided on this because I feel that the words management and fiscal add a decision making /poltiical flavour which fincancial controlling doesn't have -the World Bank talks of budgeting and fiscal management in local government so I shall take this and chose budgeting instead of budgetary (is there really a difference between budgeting and budgetary management ?) Many thanks to everybody-other solutions were possible too.
