I even forgot the \'of\'.

What\'s more, we need \'defeat\' and NOT \'overcoming\'.

Support and enthusiasm for the defeat of capitalism and the beginning of a social

So what should be up top there in the box is:

DEFEAT OF THE MARKET ECONOMY

My apologies to both silfilla and Frosty - the error on my part was truly unintentional.

agree  silfilla: I disagree with *defeat of the market economy* because that's not what the established parties are aiming for; IMO, overcoming the market economy is fine here -- but, neither link works :-(

agree  Frosty

-> My apologies for causing you any embarrassment.

agree  Lancashireman: Kudoz at its best. Lively debate, informed comments (of which only the last amended version is visible) all conducted in a level, constructive tone. ‘Overcoming’, ‘transcending’, ‘defeating’? Whatever! That Karl Marx certainly knew his onions.

agree  Kieran McCann: used fairly interchangeably with 'Aufhebung' in Marxist contexts and so needs the element of 'moving on to something else/better': defeat + transcendence = overcoming
14 hrs

agree  Raghunathan Rajagopalan: Kieran: can we say prevailing over the market economy?
