Geestsporn (landmark in the landscape) Explanation: I would leave it like that with an explanation: http://willol.eparadise.de/wiki/Stade Geographical situation Stade is because of the river Rocker between that Old country and Kehdingen , nearby that Unterelbe . The surrounding landscape is predominantly flat March country . The city lies on into this landscape a projecting Geestsporn , which rises up to 14 meters (mirror mountain, location of the former castle) over the march.
