German term or phrase: hübsch auf haben
Du hast ganz ja ganz hübsch auf mit diesen Kreaturen. Ich versuche nun schon seit Tagen, hier heran zu kommen. Ohne Erfolg.

This is the text to a fantasy RPG. There isn't really much context to go on, except for the lines that follow. I'm pretty sure the first "ganz" is a typo as well. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is this a common expression?

doing a great job
Explanation:
after de-garbling it could be this:
du hast's/bist ja ganz schön/gut/hübsch drauf mit diesen Kreaturen -
meaning you're doing a great job/ a hell of of a job/ you've got it going on for you with these creatures (and I don't because I've been trying for days to get close to them)

you've got quite a rapport/ a good relationship...

or as you phrased it, you've got a lot of influence.....

..got them (quite) under control

agree  Nicole Schnell: I absolutely agree with: "drauf haben". Alternative translation (a bit more colloquial): "You got it down pat!"
