Training and testing system for vocational schools Explanation: I would say something like this. I can't find anything more official. |

Vocational School Training and Examination Regulations Explanation: Depending on context, I would leave "Berufskolleg" Reference: http://www.vdws.de/pdf/apo_e.pdf |

Ausbildungs- und Prüfungsordnung... Curriculum and assessment policy... Explanation: for the 'Berufskolleg' (FE College?) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs 49 mins (2005-10-14 23:40:00 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Results 1 - 10 of about 505 for "Curriculum and assessment policy". Some educationists argue that the 'curriculum' should determine the method and content of the 'assessment'. Others argue that the starting point is the 'assessment' (i.e. what you want the candidate to demonstrate) from which the curriculum can then be constructed. Either way, it is the job of management to work out a 'policy'. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs 2 mins (2005-10-14 23:53:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- UK http://www.qca.org.uk/3657_7153.html Canada http://www.pace.gov.on.ca/paceweb/owa/intersrv_en.disp_servi... New Zealand http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/routledg/cedr/2000/000... Ireland http://www.inca.org.uk/ireland-sources-mainstream.html USA http://epaa.asu.edu/epaa/v9n39.html -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 17 hrs 32 mins (2005-10-15 10:22:57 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If 'curriculum' seems too bold a step to take when translating 'Ausbildung' then this combination also googles quite convincingly: Results 1 - 10 of about 57 for "training and assessment policy" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day 2 hrs 27 mins (2005-10-15 19:17:55 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I have avoided getting involved in the 'Berufskolleg' part of this question as it would be impossible to find a solution that would satisfy colleagues on both sides of the Atlantic. The general consensus amongst US-based peers is 'vocational school' and I cannot argue with that. (In UK the closest equivalent would be a 'College of Further Education') |
