Mein Versuch:

Ich bin aber irgendwie damit nicht so ganz zufrieden. Hat jemand einen Verbesserungsvorschlag?

I’d keep the “we” in the translated version because an active verb often sounds better than a passive verb. Looks like they at least considered doing that for the German version as well.

I don’t think Björn’s analysis is unreasonable but it may be going a bit far. Perhaps, there’s a slight tendency or preference with some but I don’t see that people are generally reluctant to use synergy in connection with products or brands. See example below:

“However ‘over time’, he continued, ‘we’ll have significant revenue synergies for our LifeTechnologies brand just leveraging the Thermo Fisher strength that we have with our customer base.”

Hi Björn,
that’s fair enough and I appreciate your comment but we haven’t been told whether customers will be exposed to the same language. Even then, the use of buzz words like synergy would be designed to lure customers in and not be expected to confuse them. Moreover, I don’t feel it’s my job to second-guess or improve the original. If they wanted to say household appliances were 'positively impacted", there are easy ways of saying that in German without using synergy. Or put differently, that may well be what they mean but they really want to express it in much more flavorful language.

...I do not think "synergies" is the best word to use. It can have a slightly different meaning in English and is mostly restricted to companies or abstract ideas, not products.

Usually, the word is German marketing speak for a cost-saving approach. Somehow, it just seems like the one who held the presentation hid behind the word without really conveying much.

It seems like he or she wanted to say because they have the largest share in commercial and industrial laundry equipment, they can basically use their know-how and experience to benefit sales on the end consumer market.

@Daniel: I do not think "professionell" here is "professional." This is a false friend half the time. It's commercial/industrial + service; neither professional nor care sounds right to me in this context, unless you want to consider pages translated from German as proof. Second reason beside synergies why I can't agree to Michael's answer.

Ich finde Deinen eigenen Vorschlag eigentlich sehr gut, ich würde das "in turn" vielleicht nicht nehmen, sondern z.B. "Because XXX is also a leader in professional laundry care, we were able to achieve synergies for household appliances." und ich würde das "the" weglassen. Aber eigentlich passt es schon so wie Du es verstanden hast. Und Michael hat ja auch schon das gleiche gesagt. Gruss D

Bin prinzipiell auch mit Jamie, aber ich würde mir um das "wiederum" nochmal Gedanken machen, "again" glaube ich passt nicht. Ist meiner Meinung nach eher so etwas wie "deswegen" oder "daraus". Cheers.

So wie es da steht, ist es ein Fehler. Das "wir" scheint überflüssig zu sein.
Heutzutage passiert es sehr oft, dass bei Satzumformungen auf Word aus Versehen etwas von der alten Form stehen bleibt. Da sollen wir Übersetzer uns dann den Kopf darüber zerbrechen.
Mit Jaime. Ich würde da erst mal den Kunden fragen.
