spring travel Explanation: I think this would cover both directions. This would work if they occur together as in your example. It becomes problematic if you have to separate them. |

droop Explanation: Could it be droop? Or is this the means to set the 'Ausfederweg'. Hope this helps a bit. Reference: http://www.hpieurope.com/kit-info.php?lang=en&partNo=101556 Reference: http://www.hpieurope.com/kit-info.php?lang=de&partNo=185 |

Rebound travel Explanation: From the Wyhlidal dictionary. Full entry: Ausfederweg Laufrad/Radaufhängung - road wheel/wheel suspension / rebound travel, rebound clearance, static wheel deflection, rebound, wheel rebound Ausfederweg Stoßdämpfer - shock absorber / rebound travel, rebound Reference: http://www.wyhlidal.com/index_ger.htm |

Extension travel Explanation: In my DB translations I have always used extension and compression to describe the action of shock absorbers as they move in and out. However I know BMW uses the word 'rebound' which is also correct. jccantrel's suggestion of 'spring travel' would also cover both the 'ein' and 'aus' parts. So you have a choice. |
