uncouple, ungear Explanation: Ich nehme an, dass die Pumpe direkt an den Motor angeschlossen ist. Um die Verbindung zum Motor zu trennen, muss ausgekuppelt, also die Kupplung getreten werden. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 mins (2005-07-28 15:27:08 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- \"press the clutch while the engine is running\" ist vielleicht eine Möglichkeit, das Problem mit dem fehlenden Objekt zu umgehen. |

disengage Explanation: ungear is an unword -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 days (2005-08-05 08:39:51 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Elvira, you seem to have hurt Petrolhead\'s feelings; he is not answering. We don\'t want to leave you hanging, since you are one of the regulars who often helps others. I assume this is a truck with some sort of additional equipment (crane, etc.), which I call XXX below. You need a direct object for (dis)engage. I further assume that \"Nebenabrieb\" should be \"Nebenantrieb\". The instructions say: With the engine running, disengage the XXX; wait several seconds, then turn on the auxiliary drive and slowly engage it. Carry on & have a nice weekend. |
