yet I didnt come across an equivalent for Massenrüben, Instead, I rather tend to consider Edith`s Suggestion, i.e. Common beets, to be the proper term corresponding to Beta vulgaris specimens.

Die Futterrübensorten werden allgemein in Massenrüben « 12.5 % T), Mittelrüben (12.5 - 15.5 % Tl und Gehaltsrüben (> 15.5 % T) eingeteilt [AID 1980 (47)]. Zur Einordnung der Sorten in diese Gruppierung dient deren durchschnittlicher Trockensubstanzgehalt. Futter- rüben der Sorte Kyros beispielsweise werden den Gehaltsrüben zugerechnet. Trotzdem kann ihr Trockensubstanzgehall in Abhängigkeit 110m Emtejahr schwanken. In den vorliegenden SilieNersuchen landen sich Werte von 13.7 % T (1987) bis 17.9 % T (i 988).
