German term or phrase: Stoffband
"Andernfalls besteht auch die Möglichkeit die Luftleitbleche selbst auszurichten, indem man ca. 12 Stoffbänder pro Seite mit einer Breite von 2 cm und einer Länge von 0,5 metern an den Luftleitblechen anbringen muss, wobei zu beachten ist, dass ein Stoffband beim obersten bzw. beim untersten Luftleitblech befestigt wird und die Restlichen in gleichmäßigen Abständen verteilt werden."

Talking about air baffles on sprayers. I can't find a translation for "Stoffband" anywhere (apart from "cloth tape", which I'm not convinced by here, because tape is not really a countable noun, whereas Stoffband is). TIA for your help.

(flat) ribbon

Explanation:
...could be one possibility in the context of air baffles.

Example sentence(s):
  • The flat ribbons are good air baffles and catch oil very well, while still being loose enough to never clog.

Notes to answerer
Asker: It looks to me like "flat ribbon" is actually a type of air baffle, at least according to the reference you provided. But the Stoffbänder in my text are being attached to the baffles, so I've gone with Johanna's suggestion of "fabric strips" and closed this question without grading it. Thanks anyway.
