German term or phrase: Systemführungen
Die Schaumstoffschicht verschliesst dabei keine Systemelemente oder Systemführungen, wie es im Stand der Technik der Fall ist.

The foam layer in question is laid between the outer and inner skins of a fuselage. I have a feeling that "Systemführungen" may be control runs, but I would appreciate suggestions by colleagues.

neutral  David Moore (X): "control LINES", possibly; but the system controls are usually on the flight-deck, aren't they?

agree  David Moore (X): Not such a wild guess IMO; this has to be it, as a conduit for system wiring or pipework
