"La production minière continue inexorablement sa tendance baissière suite à une décennie de sous-investissement lié à un prix de l’or non attractif. Etant donné qu’il faut entre 5 et 20 ans avant d’extraire de l’or d’un gisement découvert, il semble que cette tendance ne s’infléchira pas ces prochaines années après une réduction de la production de 3 % en 2006. A contrario, ** l’offre de recyclage ** est en constante augmentation et va de pair avec la hausse du prix de l’once d’or. Elle a représenté en 2006 environ 1 000 tonnes soit 40 % de la production minière."

Immagino si intenda il riutilizzo di oro già estratto, in contrapposizione a "produzione mineraria". Ma non sono se si dice "riciclaggio", "riciclo" o altro.

Explanation:
credo che per i metalli si usi riciclo, riciclaggio mi da più l'idea di piazzare oro di dubbia provenienza (tipo rubato) come si usa per il denaro.
