La baguette briochée ( ou viennoise ) è comunque pane , non è dolce anche se c'è una punta di zucchero nell'impasto . Quello che la distingue dal pane "normale " è la consistenza (quella che si ritrova, se vogliamo, nel pan carré).

confrontando le ricette del cosiddetto "panbrioche" e del pane dolce, o "pane al latte" mi sembra che si tratti sempre della stessa cosa. A me piace evitare termini stranieri, se posso http://www.bortonevivai.it/enogastronomia/panbrioche.asp
