mentalità rozza o contadina/mentalità contorta


Explanation:
Essendo dei contadini la loro mentalità è rimasta ancorata al mondo rurale e dunque non aperta agli eventi. Ho anche tradotto "mentalità contorta", perché il termine "gaucherie" deriva da "gaucher"= sinistroso e dunque qualcosa di contorto.
