Dans la galerie d’étude l'idée de l'assemblage et de la mécanique a servi de fil rouge à la conception des vitrines et dispositifs de présentation des objets. C'est à travers le travail sur la structure de ces éléments que l'architecte rejoint l'univers des arts appliqués. Tous les composants comme les charnières, les câbles, les pivots, ou les roulettes sont apparents. Cette galerie thématique offre sur deux niveaux une série d'espaces identiques, séparés par d'épais refends. Les dispositifs d'aménagement trouvent leur force et leur poésie dans la repétition d'un système de présentation didactique. Devant la grande variété des œuvres qui peut être présentée dans cette galerie, I'architecte a établi trois types de vitrines correspondant à trois faSons de regarder les objets.
