This is also from the pamphlet about elementary Christianity.

The word مورد has presented me with quite a few difficulties in the course of my Persian studies. Perhaps the reason is that it has many different meanings.

This much is given: the موارد are depicted as being “work, friends, family etc.”: not of course bad in themselves, but things which can distract us from searching for God, or even prevent us for searching for Him in the first place.
