سرندیپ Explanation: Actually, I have personally not heard about this as a Farsi word for Sri Lanka. This country is known as is in Farsi and is written as سریلانکا -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 mins (2007-07-26 14:24:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- It seems that this word was used in ancient contexts (I found one by Google search).
