Greetings,

Please, what is the exact meaning of the suffix باره?

We see it in شکمباره, for example – anything to do with ‘در باره‌ی’? Something like ‘concerned with (one’s stomach)’?

Best wishes, and many thanks,

Simon

extremely eager and interested/lover/avaricious

This is an affix which means "lover or too much interested in sth" (Negative connotation)
