Persian (Farsi) term or phrase: آبادگر
Hi,

I quote Wiki:
The Alliance of Builders of Islamic Iran (Persian: ائتلاف آبادگران ایران اسلامی; E'telāf-e Ābādgarān-e Īrān-e Eslāmī), usually shortened to Abadgaran (آبادگران), is an alliance of some right-wing Iranian political parties and organizations.

How very strange that I can't find آبادگر in Ḥayyem or Āryānpur...

Many thanks,

Simon

Explanation:
another option...I realize that "builder" is the more common translation, but "abadgar" really has more meaning than just builder.

It implies "making livable" "making an uninhabitable area habitable"

"developer" is the term we use for someone who takes a piece of raw land and turns it into homes

agree  Farzad Akmali: You are all correct regarding the connotation of "abadgar" and the choice is A Ok!

  -> thanks!

neutral  Younes Mostafaei: I think in this case we are better to follow recognized translation. For Builders there is 133,000 references all of which refer to the same Alliance but for Developers there is not or it is used in very rare cases.

  -> I would agree if Simon just wants the usual translation for the name of the organization, but I think Simon wanted something more on the word "abadgar" itself.

neutral  Mahmood Haerian-Ardakani: At the moment, I am neutral in using both Farsi terms interchangeably, unless somthing sparkles in the mind later on.
