In the beginning of the Iranian film مونس, Payman and Sattar have been released from prison. Payman calls Sattar to his home for help. Once Sattar has arrived, he encourages Payman to tell him what he needs help with. He says:

"Asl-e mojera ro beriz ruye dayere va khalas."
اصل ماجرا رو بریز روی دایره و خلاص

The subtitles simply translate this as "Out with it!"

I think I understand what he's saying here ("Out with the heart of the story"), but I'm wondering why he says "ruye dayere" instead of "ruye miz." What is the "dayere" here exactly? Just a "circle"? From what I have seen a sofreh is usually not circular, so I'm wondering why he uses that word here.

I think "dayere" here is figurative, like we way "the your hat in the ring"...it means "get it out in the open, so we know what we are talking about"
