Explanation:
I think as in a computer we are talking about those settings that have previously been loaded on the computer. These settings are most of the time put in by the factory or when the software (like Word)is first loaded on the computer.Hence, rather than saying varsayilan ayarlar which gives the impression that these settings are supposed to be there but we are not sure(!), I prefer translating it as above which actually represents the settings loaded by the factory etc.
