Definition from own experience or research:
Buffering or as a noun buffer doesn't have to go with the term ''memory-bellek but rather with the term ''storage''.
So if you follow storage you may come up with a better term for buffering.
The reason behind: An example of buffering is streaming media, such as online radios or video content.Even though sometimes write operations executed to RAMs , thus to memory, it is often the case that the client side machine has a cache and in this case the data is written to virtual memory aka cache or in other words to hard disks.
As a result,this a mixed case and involves memory and other type of writeable storage space.
