English term or phrase: earth bonds

EARTHING & BONDING
The machine frame must be connected to Earth, using a cable of substantial cross-section. Earthing pads are provided on the machine base, and their location is shown on the GA Drawing.
There is also a system of earth links and bonds, which connect the various components of the machine together. If any components are shipped separately or removed during erection and commissioning, ensure that the link or bond is replaced. If any link or bond-mounting pad has been painted over during erection, remove the paint before fixing the link or bond.

Notes to answerer
EXCITER EQUIPMENT MAJ39 Exciter and Permanent-Magnet Generator 5.1.1 Dismantling 1. Remove the exciter overall cover. 2. Disconnect the exciter and PMG stator leads from the auxiliary terminal box. Remove all bonding links. 3. Remove the holding-down bolts and dowels which secure the exciter and PMG stators to the baseplate. 4. Disconnect and remove the rotor earth fault slipring 5. Disconnect the two shaft field leads from their brackets on the rectifier hub (one bracket on each heat sink).
