Pošto su u pitanju solarni sistemi, onda je potrebno nešto u čemu će se oslobađati mehurići koji nastaju kada se hladna voda pretvara u toplu. Dakle, ne nešto u čemu će se voda zagrevati, već ono što će prikupljati "zaostatke" tog procesa, u ovom slučaju "air".
