Pagal tarptautinių žodžių žodyną, homologai yra "panašių arba tų pačių savybių org. junginiai, kurių radikalai skiriasi viena ar keliomis metileno –CH2– grupėmis." Kadangi "homologous" yra ne tik "homologinis" (biol., chem.), bet ir "atitinkamas", manau, kad tai labai pakeisti automobiliai, palyginus su jų klasės/gamybos pagrindu gaminamais atitikmenimis (palyginus su LM automobilius pagal gamybos būdą atitinkančiais automobiliais).
