Az EU-ban előfordulhat azonban olyan, hogy behoznak egy terméket egy EU-s országba, de a rendeltetési helye egy másik EU-s ország. Ilyenkor elég csak a vámot megfizetni a beléptetési országban, és az áfát elég csak a rendeltetési országban megfizetni. Az előbbi a hagyományos vámeljárás, az utóbbi pedig a fiscal import clearance.
