Art/Literary - Music / notation
English term or phrase: mm.
The piece will achieve its optimum effect if the harmonic inflections (A minor at mm.72ff, mm.38-42 etc.) are played with coloristic empathy and dramatic flair.

(es kann eigentlich nur "Takt(e)" bedeuten, aber kann jemand das bestätigen und weiß, woraus es sich herleitet? Mälzels Metronom ist es jedenfalls nicht...)

Takte
Explanation:
Du liegst goldrichtig mit "Takte". "Takt" wäre "m" für "measure". Warum allerdings "measures" mit "mm" abgekürzt wird, weiß ich auch nicht.

Aber das dem so ist kann hier nachgelesen werden:

Writing about Music:
“Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.” ... The following abbreviations are standard:. m. (measure). mm. (measures). op. (Opus) ...
theory.music.indiana.edu/t251h/writingaboutmusic.htm

Stylistic and grammatical issues:

1. The following abbreviations are standard:

m. (measure)

mm. (measures)

op. (Opus)

no. (number)

nos. (numbers)

agree  Tradesca (X): Die Verdoppelung des Buchstaben drückt den Plural aus. Das ist z.B. im Spanischen gang und gäbe. Da heißen die USA EE.UU = Estados unidos. Das war mein Wort zum Sonntag. ;-)
