XXX is a non-lethal electronic immobilization product designed for short-term non-lethal
incapacitation of an individual during law enforcement/correctional operations.

As with any product utilized during use of force altercations (even hands-on physical contact),
although designed to be non-lethal, the device has a potential of infl icting injury and even a
remote aspect of lethality. Care must be exercised during any type of use of force encounters to
minimize injuries and/or death

ich brauche bei obigen Ausdruck Hilfe. Natürlich weiß ich, was gemeint ist, aber wie nennt man das Teil auf deutsch? Ich kann kaum elektronischer Mannstopper schreiben und stehe gerade voll auf dem Schlauch - ganz nach dem Motto: was ist ein Vakuum? Hm, ich habs im Kof, aber ich komm nicht drauf ;-)

neutral  Hans G. Liepert: Da wäre ich vorsichtiger - wie Capesha bestätigt, handelt es sich um eine Elektroschockpistole - und die fällt in den meisten Staaten aus gutem Grund unter die Waffengesetzgebung, in D ist sie völlig verboten

  -> Elektroimpulswaffe (Waffe ist ja eigentlich nicht "schön geredet" ;-) entspricht m. E. eher dem neutralen Stil des englischen Begriffs!!!!!
