Ich hänge bei der Suche nach einer passenden Übersetzung für "doctrine" im nachfolgenden Satz fest, vielleicht auch, weil ich aus irgendeinem Grund glaube, dass "doctrine" in eine ähnliche Schublade wie "privilege" gesteckt werden müsste oder sogar synonymhaft sein sollte? "legal doctrine" ist ja die "Rechtslehre"; ginge eventuell "Rechtsprinzip" oder etwas, was in diese Richtung geht?
