Im Zusammenhang mit Datendiensten bedeutet "co-hosting", dass ausgelagerte Daten verschiedener Herkunft gemeinsam auf einem Server (meistens eine Mainframe) aufbewahrt werden, wovon sie von den einzelnen Kunden aufgerufen werden können (Rechnzentrumarchitektur).
Ich kann mich des Eindrucks nicht erwehren, dass es sich hier um eine Wiederholung/Bekräftigung in dem Sinne handelt, dass "receives and sends data usw." einfach eine Erklärung für "co-hosting" darstellt. Wenn dem so ist, muss man sich überlegen, ob das Wörtschen mitzuübersetzen wäre.
Alternativen:
"co-hosting" i.e. Anglizismus einbauen
"mitgehostet" i.e. Kunstwort schaffen


The CPAS system is hosted on an AMDAHL mainframe using the MVS operating system and Computer Associates DATACOM/DB relational data base. Currently, each logistics center has its own AMDAHL mainframe which executes its copy of the standard CPAS operating software. Defense Accounting Offices (Los Angeles Air Force Base [AFB], Eglin AFB, Newark AFB, Hanscom AFB) and DFAS operating locations not located at a logistics center have their data bases co-hosted on the AMDAHL mainframe at Wright-Patterson AFB. Users at any site can be authorized display access to each of the other centers data bases. All sites are connected using Defense Data Network (DDN) and System Network Architecture (SNA).

Rechenzentrum mit mehreren Hosts


Explanation:
Meiner Meinung nach geht es hier darum, dass das Rechenzentrum mit mehreren Hosts (verteilte Architektur) arbeitet und dadurch gut gegen Ausfälle und Angriffe gesichert ist. Man könnte das einfach wie oben ausdrücken oder in Anlehnung an das MS-Glossar "verteilt gehostet" kreieren.
