Für den komplexen Migrationsprozess wurden die Hitachi-Tools »Business Continuity Manager«, »Universal Replicator« und »TrueCopy Synchronous«, ein Werkzeug für die Synchronspiegelung, kombiniert. Gemeinsam ermöglichten sie es, eine synchrone Punkt-zu-Punkt-Datenspiegelung zwischen Primär- und Sekundär-Rechenzentrum und gleichzeitig eine asynchrone Spiegelung zwischen dem primären und dem neuen, dritten Rechenzentrum durchzuführen. Dabei sorgte die »Universal Replicator«-Software mit so genannten Journalfunktionen inklusive Zeitstempel dafür, dass die Datenkonsistenz auch ohne Betriebsunterbrechung gewahrt blieb.
