ich übersetze gerade einen Flyer, in dem eine Software für einen Bluetooth Mobile Gaming Controller beworben wird.

Ihre Vorteile werden folgendermaßen angepriesen:

- Navigate your phone and control applications such as the music player, web browser and more

- Experience anytime, anywhere, any screen gaming by ***combining [the Controller] and a compatible mobile device with TV out***

Kann jemand kurz bestätigen, dass sich "with TV out" auf "mobile device" und NICHT auf "combine" bezieht?

Meine Arbeitsübersetzung lautet:

Wenn Sie den [Controller] zusammen mit einem kompatiblen mobilen Gerät verwenden, das über einen TV-Ausgang verfügt, können Sie Bildschirmspiele jederzeit und an jedem Ort genießen

Korrekt müsste es ja "to combine something WITH something" lauten; hier wollte man die Wiederholung von "with" vermeiden und hat deshalb "and" gewählt. Vermute ich jedenfalls.

Aus meiner Sicht hast du mit deiner Interpretation Recht, dass man [den Controller] und [ein Gerät mit TV-Ausgang] verbinden soll, um "anytime, anywhere und *anyscreen*" spielen zu können.

Das "any screen" fehlt in deiner Übersetzung.

Deine Argumentation, dass es eigentlich "combine X with Y" heißen muss, halte ich aber für falsch. "combine X and Y" ist vollkommen üblich. Google-Ergebnisse sind zwar mit Vorsicht zu genießen, aber es gibt unzählige Treffer für diese Kombination:

Gegen die Interpretation von Katja spricht, meiner Meinung nach, dass

a) Jedes Handy (und darum geht es hier doch) einen Bildschirm hat, auf dem man Spiele spielen kann. Ein TV ist also nicht nötig.

b) Der Controller nicht mit dem TV verbunden wird, sondern nur mit dem mobilen Gerät, und zwar über Bluetooth.

Für mich ist die Lage eindeutig.

Meinst du mit den 5880 Hits, dass dir das zu wenige sind? Hier geht es ja um moderne mobile Endgeräte wie z.B. das iPhone. Das hat einen TV-Out, ist aber natürlich viel zu exklusiv, um sich "Handy" zu schimpfen.

Explanation:
so verstehe ich das. Du kannst ja nur mit dem Controller und dem TV nicht spielen, braucht man ja noch ne Konsole, also hier das mobile kompatible Gerät, das man an den TV-Ausgang anschließen muss.

Nicht, dass ich davon viel verstehe, aber die Playstation 2 habe ich doch for the sake of Singstar angeschlossen bekommen ;-)

Ich habe bedenken bezüglich den bisherigen Formulierungen. Der Controller hat ja für den Anschluss einen Ausgang und ein kompatibles Gerät einen Eingang. Deshalb kann das komptible Gerät ja nicht über TV OUT (wäre ja ebenfalls ein Ausgang) angeschlossen werden sondern nur über TV IN. Hat der Controller vielleicht einen TV OUT (Ausgang)?
Dann wäre die Formulierung besser: kompatibles Gerät und Controller über TV OUT des Controllers verbinden.

ein passenden Anschlussgeraet mit seinem Mobile und dem TV verbinden


Explanation:

Koennte das denn nicht heissen, dass man das ganze nicht nur auf seinem Handy sehen kann,sondern auch mit einem passenden Anschlussgeraet (=compatible mobile device) auch auf
seinen Fernseher sehen kann, falls der Fernseher so einen Anschluss (=TV out)hat.

ich meine, der Kontroller ist sowieso schon an das Handy angeschlossen.
Jetzt geht es nur darum, dass das Spielsoft im Handy geladen ist und man das Ganze gern auf einem groesseren Bildschirm sehen moechte, oder? Deswegen braucht man ein Anschlussstueck zwischen dem Mobile und dem TV. Oder verstehe ich das falsch?

Noch einige Nachforschungen: der Kontroller (meist ein ferngesteuerter Kontr.) ist mit dem compatiblen device (wahrsch. ein Handy) verbunden (deswegen auch das "and".
Jetzt geht es nur darum wie man das "device" mit dem TV verbindet. Und dazu braucht das "device" einen TV-Ausgang und ein spez. Kabel (siehe siteadress) und das wird dann an den Fernseher gesteckt.
