Charges. The manner of billing and applicable charges shall be set forth in the Customer Order and shall remain in effect during the Service Term. Billing options may include the following:

4.1 Caching Service.

(A) 95th Percentile: XY will determine the total outbound bytes of Customer content delivered across each cache server cluster every 5 minutes (each such total being a “Sample”). At the end of each billing month, the Samples from each applicable “Region” will be sorted from highest to lowest, the highest 5% will be discarded, and the next highest remaining Sample will be set as the “95th Percentile Sample” for that Region and converted to Mbps. Pricing for the 95th Percentile billing methodology is based on the assumption that Customer’s utilization of the Service will not contain any Sample that is greater than three (3) times the 95th Percentile Sample (any Sample meeting such threshold being a “Disproportionate Peak”).

Ich habe den Begriff bereits im Glossar gefunden, weiß aber leider trotz der vielen Einträge immer noch nicht, wie ich Sample in meinem Fall am besten übersetzen kann. Kann ich den englischen Begriff eventuell sogar übernehmen? Vielen Dank vorab!

Ich würde 'sample' nicht stehenlassen, sondern übersetzen. Hier geht es ganz klar um einen Wert, der in Intervallen von 5 Minuten ausgelesen (erfasst) wird und der Fakturierung zugrundegelegt wird.

Also ich würde hier Sample nicht übersetzen. Es wird ja am Textanfang definiert und wird im weiteren Text auch groß geschrieben.

Vielleicht wäre auch der deutsche Begriff "Stichprobe" hier passend.
Hier wird hier im Abstand von 5 Minuten die Anzahl der ausgehenden Bytes (stichprobenartig) erfasst, statistisch verarbeitet (die höchsten 5% der Stichprobe werden verworfen usw.) und das Ergebnis bildet dann die Grundlage für die Rechnungslegung.
