abbrechen Explanation: Eins der Allerweltswörter, die alles oder nichts bedeuten können. Googeln nach "bump the session" gibt einige Treffer im Sinne von "abbrechen". Auf http://www.answers.com/"bump" gibt es viele viele mögliche Definitionen. Unter anderen: To put out by force: dismiss, eject, evict, expel, oust, throw out. Informal chuck. Slang boot, bounce, kick out. Idioms: give someone the boot, give someone theheave-hoold heave-ho, send packing, show someone the door, throw out on one's ear. Diese Bedeutung ist m.E. amerikanisch und SEHR "informal", aber dies scheint mir die plausibelste Deutung zu sein. |
