Due to the paucity of outcrop and relatively deep overburden, Belvedere drilled seven “wildcat” holes to test four different target types, and to get a better understanding of the bedrock geology up-ice of some of the different boulder trains.


Laut Geo-WB von Bucksch ist die Übersetzung "Stein- / Blockstrom". Diese Übersetzung gefällt meinem Auftraggeber jedoch nicht. Könnte man dies auch freier übersetzen mit z.B. Geschiebe-/Gesteinstrend etc.?

ein "boulder" ist nun mal ein dicker Felsbrocken, der im Deutschen Findling genannt wird.
"Geschiebefelder" ist aber anscheinend gebräuchlicher bei Geologen,aber das Geschiebefeld besteht nicht ausschließlich aus Findlingen.
