neutral  Armorel Young: greens in English are vegetables with green leaves that need to be cooked - not salad, and not root vegetables such as carrots. I don't think the chosen translation gets this across.

jetzt habe ich eine Antwort. Habe die Frage weiter geschickt:

They are picked early before they get large, like spinach, leaf lettuce, etc.
To my knowledge, baby greens mean(in english)only the greens, also dandylion greens and wild greens. If they meant carrots, or another baby veggie, they would call them baby veggies. Greens are greens


Vielleicht ein bisserl warten mit dem grading? :-))

neutral  Nora Vinnbru (X): Ich glaube eher, dass es sich hierbei um junges Gemüse im Allgemeinen handelt und nicht ausschließlich um Salat. Um welches spezielle Grünzeug es sich handelt, muss der Kontext ergeben.

  -> ja, das war auch mein erstre Gedanke, und dann habe ich mich ein bisserl unter den Rezepten umgesehen, und nach Bildern gesucht :-) und fast jedes Mal war Salat dabei. Versuchte mich an meine Zeit in USA zu erinnern, aber leider ohne Erfolg
