"Town square" type traffic light-controlled road junctions are more difficult to install. Their size, approximately 100 metres square, must not encourage cars to accelerate. It will be essential to carry out a special study as part of the Outline Preliminary Design, not just to finalise the operation of the traffic lights, but also to adapt the shape of the square to the requirements of its operation and for a proper level of safety.

Habe auch an besondere Formen von Lichtzeichenanlagen gedacht, wie sie u.a. in folgendem Link zu sehen sind:

agree  Jochen König: Vielleicht "Kreuzungen mit Lichtzeichen an Marktplätzen" oder etwas in der Art. Ich würde den "type" weglassen und freier rangehen.
