Definitions - not for points Explanation: Actuality (often shortened to ack.) Comments of a news source on audiotape in a radio news story. General term sound bite is used in radio and TV, but actuality is a radio term. http://ehub.journalism.ku.edu/input/glossary/ Actuality, shorted to Act Radio Audio material recorded on location. In news programmes it is usually someone speaking and lasts for 10 to 20 seconds. People outside radio often call it a sound bite. In features and magazine programmes however, the word actuality is often taken to mean recorded material that isn't speech.
