Noch eine Frage zu einer Pressemeldung zum Einsatz von neuartigen Kunststoffen in Autoteilen:

*Special resins were selected for headlamps and interior indicator lens, for the *center panel console* and for air nozzles."

Kunststoffe sind zwar schon mein Fachgebiet, Autoteile allerdings nicht. Ich weiß zwar, was gemeint ist, wie lautet aber der korrekte Fachausdruck?

agree  Herbert Waldherr: Wird im Deutschen so bezeichnet, ist aber nicht die herkömmliche Mittelkonsole, die im Fußraum zwischen Fahrer und Beifahrer angesiedelt ist, sondern eine "Ausbuchtung" am unteren Teil der Armaturenbrettmitte, die den Fußraum darunter frei lässt.
