Schaltungssteuerung beim Herunterschalten Explanation: Since this is a fairly new feature in cars, I haven't come across a German term for this yet. Schaltungssteuerung would be my best guess here and you can use it for both, shifting up and down. Reference: http://www.e38.org/electran1.pdf |

Herunterschaltschutz/Schutz vor fehlerhaftem Herunterschalten Explanation: This is an excerpt on p. 24 of document quoted below: Downshift protection: If the driver moves the range selector to a lower gear at higher vehicle speeds, the GS 20 delays the down shift until the road speed drops below a programmed value. This feature protects the powertrain from unnecessary loads ensuring long life operation. Even though it's finally a 'Schaltsteuerung' I'd prefer to use 'Schutz' because I think they want to stress the fact that their car is actually 'protected' additionally to an automatic upshift/downshift control Reference: http://www.theautomotivetechshop.com/content/00/01/03/00/03/... |
