Hebebühne Explanation: These are not car jacks! From what you provide of context, they are tailGATE lifts at the back of a truck, or passenger (wheelchair) lifts at the side of a bus. I am not aware of column lifts (compare the one where you take your car for service) on the tailgate sector. I suggest you read more under Google.
