The sentance in my rekoning either means that the device is not suitable for connection to a conduit (pipe, lead o.s.v.)
or that the device is not suitable for the conduit connection (the piece that connects between a conduit and ....)

either way the meaning doesn't matter, what does matter is how to express that the device is not suitable for connection.

I have asked the technical engineers in my company, and unfortunately "ledningsforbindelse" does not make sense in this connection. We are still trying to locate someone - anyone - who in fact knows what "conduit connection" is in English. So far we have not even been able to locate somone from the supplier of the device who knows! Comforting to know that noone seems to know what somthing so important (NOT suitable for Conduit Connection) is! NOT! If and when I find out from other sources than KudoZ, I'll let you know.
