Cijena sata produktivnog rada se izračunava dijeljenjem prosječnih godišnjih troškova s ukupnim brojem produktivnih radnih sati.
Kad bi se prosječna cijena jednog produktivnog sata odgovarajućeg radnog mjesta pomnožila s ukupnim brojem stvarno utrošenih sati na odgovarajuću aktivnost u određenom razdoblju, dobio bi se približni minimalni trošak zaposlenika za tu aktivnosti.
