这里的 survival brain 不是说“幸存下来的大脑”，而是指“执著于生存本能的心念”-----应该是错了，之所以叫survival brain , 是因为“ by eliminating the false idea of ‘I’ or ‘self.’”。然后才是”达到无我之境后，那原本执著于生存本能的心念就不再如熊熊野火一般燃烧，而修行者的心态就能渐渐脱离俗世纷扰，获得正见。“ 虽说意译，但是”脱离俗世纷扰“似乎太过意译了。

Asker: Sorry, My fault...我没有仔细看原文——eliminating the false idea of ‘I’ or ‘self.’——NOT " without "I" and "self"."仔细想了想，应该就是指——用以生存的大脑才会清净安定下来。thank you!我以为去掉self就剩下（幸存下)survival brain....应该是指消除错误的自私观点，形成大我，或者万物归一之类的思想，然后用以生存的大脑才会清净安定下来。但是还是觉得——原文的原意其实是指大脑，brain只是turn down(not turn off)——function in a low level——而一般人们不说心灵在低水平上运作。所以还是觉得。。。——将大脑译为凡心俗念，会不会离原文太远了？。。。
Asker: 我查了查。。。brain 其實也有心靈的解釋——Your brain is your mind and the way that you think.
不過為了更符合原文，我還是傾向於譯為大腦，就像cpu of an computer which functions in a low level.
